What time does it start?
We offer 2 identical worship services to choose from. Each service lasts around 45 minutes, and start at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Sunday mornings. Currently, adult & children’s classes are not meeting. Register for a service on our homepage.
Which door should I go in?
Our parking extends around the entire building, so it depends on where you park. There are parking spots reserved for guests near the canopy entrance (Door 3) off of Salem Rd. Otherwise, parking attendants will help you find the best spots and even offer to drop you at the door with a golf cart. For those with disabilities, we recommend the canopy entrance (Door 3) out front. No matter which door you enter, a host will be there to greet you and answer any questions.
Does it matter what I wear?
Not at all. Come as you feel comfortable. There are people of all styles and ages at Parkside who just enjoy being together. In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we do require wearing a face covering.
What should I expect when I get there?
Parkside has a warm, casual atmosphere. We have volunteers to greet you and welcome you at the door. Don’t hesitate to ask questions at the Information Center located in the main lobby. New guests come every Sunday. You will feel welcomed without feeling any pressure or obligation.
What happens with my kids?
For the time being, we will not be having our usual in-person children's programming and a date for reopening has not been set. We will communicate more details about in-person children's programming as plans develop. Parents are welcome to register and bring their children with them to our family worship service. Also, every weekend we offer a wonderful service online for kids and parents! Visit parksidekids.org/story.
During a typical weekend, Parkside offers fully graded children’s classes during adult worship. Kids can’t wait to worship and learn in their own age-appropriate ways! The entire lower level of our facility is dedicated to children’s ministry. We have a detailed security policy to screen every volunteer and to ensure the protection of every child. We also promise to love your children the way Jesus would. For more about our children’s ministry… click HERE!
What will the worship service be like?
The music is upbeat and led by a band. Each week is uniquely designed around a theme, and you can expect similar creative elements like music, prayer, video images, drama, object lessons, – we like to keep it fresh. The teaching is always Bible-based, relevant, and encouraging.
What if I can't sing or don't know the songs?
We sing songs that contain Scripture or expressions of respect to God. Most people catch on quickly and enjoy the energy of the music whether they are good singers or not. If you don’t care to sing, just tap your feet and listen to the lyrics.
Anything I should prepare for?
We offer a special time in every worship service known as communion. We can explain that more fully, but any and every follower of Jesus is invited to participate in that. We give careful instruction so you won’t feel awkward. If you do not care to participate, you can simply observe.
Will I be asked to give money?
We take up a weekly offering because it honors God and sustains Parkside’s ministry. There is never any pressure to give and we don’t expect our guests to give. God has always provided for Parkside through the generosity of grateful people. Have more questions about giving? Email your questions to email@example.com or call the church office (513.231.9482) to speak with one of the ministers.
