DESCRIPTION:Parkside is organizing a drive for the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati between April 13th through May 11th. This drive benefits women who are coming in for their chemo treatments. We are collecting “comfort” items and activities that these women can do during their treatments. Items that would be greatly appreciated: new blankets\, word searches/ crossword puzzles/ Sudoku\, coloring books\, colored pencils\, pens\, chapsticks\, small bottles of lotion\, socks\, or any item that will provide comfort to women undergoing their chemo treatments. DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday April 18th for out Good Friday Service at 6 pm. Saying goodbye to a friend or loved one is hard. Losing them unexpectedly is even more difficult. Jesus’s friends and family had to watch as he was arrested\, beaten\, and crucified. With every step towards the cross\, their hopes that he was the Messiah faded. Finally\, he was swallowed up in death and left in a grave. They were left to wonder how they could have been so wrong as the finality of death set in.

It is especially true that they weren’t expecting him to come back to life. Everyone who had fought with death had lost. All of humanity ended up swallowed in the grave\, never to return. Jesus broke the jaws of death and emerged victorious. His triumph over death brought us a victory over sin and death as well.

SUMMARY:Cincinnati River Walk
DESCRIPTION:A 4-mile hike. The terrain is sidewalks and bike paths. \nWe will start the walk on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River west of the Newport Aquarium. The address of the suggested parking lot and starting point will be sent to interested parties. We will head west and quickly pass over the Licking River\, entering the historic section of Covington\, Kentucky. We will cross the Roebling Bridge and hike east on the north side of the Ohio River. We will pass several kids’ parks and will stop to allow the kids some time to enjoy. There are gardens and seating areas. Continue east we will reach the Purple People Bridge and cross over to the Kentucky side of the river. As we head west again we will reach the Newport Aquarium / Mall food area. Those that are interested can eat lunch at a vendor in this area.
