Christmas Eve is a day of anticipation and longing, but what are we all waiting for? Most children are eager for the arrival of gifts under the tree on Christmas morning, while adults may long to be with family or to be with those that are no longer with us. What are you waiting for? Before Jesus’ birth, the world longed for a Savior and unexpectedly, He was delivered. And little has changed because our souls still yearn for something more. They long for our Savior – Jesus.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What can I expect during the Christmas Eve Service?
The Christmas Eve service will be about 55 minutes in length, and can be experienced in-person or online (on this page) via the Parkside Facebook Page.
We will worship together in song and then take time to celebrate the birth of Jesus with a short message and scripture readings. This is a family friendly service.
Will there be children's programming?
There will be no children’s programming on Christmas Eve. We invite families to worship together during both the 5:30p and 7p services. There will be packets available for kids to pick up on their way into the worship center for use during the service(s).
How can I serve in the church during Christmas Eve?
This Christmas Eve, we are in need of greeters for both services. If you can hold a door, smile, and wish other a ‘Merry Christmas’, this role might be for you! Email Randy Shivers for more information.
What should I wear?
Come wearing whatever makes you feel comfortable! Whether you dress in your “Sunday Best” or you prefer jeans and a t-shirt, you’re welcome at Parkside. On Christmas Eve – and every Sunday – you’ll find people of all styles and ages who just enjoy being together.
Where should I park?
Our parking extends around the entire building, so feel free to pick which ever spot works for you! Our doors are clearly marked with numbers. Door 3 (under the canopy), Door 4 (on the east side), and Door 8 (on the north side) are the main doors we encourage people to enter for our worship services. For those with disabilities, we recommend Door 3 or Door 4. They are nearest to the handicap parking. No matter which door you enter, a greeter will be there to welcome you and answer your questions.
Will there be service on December 25 or January 1?
Yes! We will have ONE service, at 11a on December 25 and on January 1. They can be experienced in-person or online via the Parkside Facebook Page.
